| | Troop 57 is a large and dynamic Boy Scout Troop with over 75 Eagle Scouts since our original charter. Thanks to our active boy leadership, supportive parents, and generous adult volunteers we promote an environment of fun, adventure, and leadership development that teaches our young men the values and morals they need to become outstanding citizens in our community and nation. We meet Monday evenings from 7:30-9:00pm at Great Bridge Presbyterian Church, 333 Cedar Road in the Great Bridge area of Chesapeake, Virginia. Scoutmaster:

Eagle Scouts Graduating in 2010 |

Did you know that Troop 57 has six local Eagle Scouts who graduated this year? Considering that only about 2% of all Boy Scouts have earned the Eagle rank since 1911, this is a huge accomplishment! These young men will be heading off to various colleges in the coming months, so please be sure to read more about them at our Eagle Scouts: Soaring Above page and then congratulate them on their achievements. |

National Jamboree Weekend |
|
We're attending the BSA National Jamboree this weekend but we're now coming back on Saturday evening rather than Sunday morning. We will still be leaving on Friday at 5:30 and but now returning to the church Saturday evening around 7 pm. The address for the farm where we will camp on Friday night is 24015 Matpaponi Trail, Milford, VA 22514.
- The scouts wear Class A uniforms for the ride up and all day Saturday.
- They can carry a small backpack at the Jamboree with a water bottle and rain jacket/poncho in case of bad weather.

Troop 57 offered the Personal Management Merit Badge at Summer Camp under the guidance of Mr. Crowley and Mr. Campbell. You can view the merit badge requirements online here. Also, please download a copy of the Personal Management Workbook and begin reviewing the requirements. Note that Requirement #2 requires tracking income, expenses, and savings for 13 weeks, so please be sure to complete that throughout the remainder of the summer. |
