Boy Scouts is a boy-led, boy-run organization, but the boys must be trained to be leaders. The Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters listed above provide the direction, coaching, and training that empowers the boys with the skills they will need to lead the troop.

The Boy Scouts of America relies on dedicated volunteers to promote its mission of preparing young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
