Committee Chairperson (CC):

Organizes the committee to make sure all functions are delegated, coordinated, and completed, interprets national and local policies to the troop, prepares committee agendas, ensures representation at roundtables, arranges for charter review and recharter annually.
Assistant CC: Henry Pittman Serves in the absence of or on behalf of the CC. Responsible to the CC for all troop activities & communications.
Secretary: Cheryl Lacey Takes minutes of meetings and sends out committee meeting notices. Helps the webmaster with keeping the website accurate with current information and documents.

Handles all troop funds, maintains checking and savings accounts, trains and supervises the troop scribe in record keeping, supervises money-earning projects, including obtaining proper authorizations, prepares annual troop budget, appoints fund raising coordinator and supervises all $ activities.
Outdoor/Trip/Activities Director: Judy Fuller & Teresa Kraft Coordinates all trips and outdoor events with the Scoutmaster. Working with the ASM in Charge of the event, is responsible for sign-up sheets and permission slips on Monday nights. Transportation coordinators. Secures tour permits.
Advancement Coordinator: Dennis Komornik Encourage Scouts to advance, works with troop scribe to maintain records, arranges boards of review and courts of honor, develops and maintains merit badge counselor list, promptly reports to council results of all board of reviews, secures badges and certificates, appoints and supervises both the merit badge coordinator and the service hours coordinator.
Chaplain: Cheryl Lacey Sets the spiritual tone for troop meetings and activities, provides guidance to chaplain aide, promotes participation of each member in his church of choice, visits Scouts in time of sickness or need, provides spiritual counseling when needed or requested, encourages Boy Scouts to earn their appropriate religious emblems.
Training Coordinator: Vacant Ensures troop leaders and committee members have opportunities for training, works with district training team in scheduling Fast Start training for all new leaders, is responsible for BSA Youth Protection training within the troop, encourages and organizes junior leader training within the troop and at council and national levels, organizes and schedules den chief training.
Fundraising Coordinator: Vacant Responsible for Troop Fundraising.
Equipment Coordinator: Jerry Larson Supervises and helps troop procure camping equipment. Works with quartermaster on inventory and proper storage and maintenance of troop equipment, conducts safety checks of equipment and encourages safe use of all outdoor equipment. Owns the shed.
Membership/Recharter Coordinator: MT Sermania Ensures all boys and adults are properly registered and handles all recharter requirements.
Merit Badge Coordinator: MT Sermania Supervises Is responsible for ensuring Troop 57 has qualified merit badge counselors. Is responsible for all paperwork associated with merit badges. Responsible for accurate tracking of all merit badges completed by troop members.
Apparel Coordinator: Theresa Speight Is responsible for procuring and selling of hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, fleece sweatshirts, neckerchiefs etc etc for the Troop.
Popcorn Sales: Gwen Crow Is responsible for Troop sale of popcorn as a fundraiser.

Responsible for the Troop Website. Keeping it current and accurate.
Court of Honor Coordinator: Jeanne Dyche Ensures Troop is completely ready in all facets for all Courts of Honor including Eagle Scout Court of Honors (working with parents of Eagle Scouts). This includes: takes care of securing the church, getting the cake/refreshments, working with the scouts, merit badge coordinator and advancement coordinator in the production of the COH program, setting up the church (working with the scoutmaster) etc etc. We generally have about 3 Troop Courts of Honor and about 3 to 8 Eagle Courts of Honor a year.
Eagle Board of Review: Andy Kraft, Henry Pitman, Kimball Thompson, Andy Chapman
Boards of Review: All Committee Members This is a group effort that requires full participation of all committee members to successful. The Advancement Coordinator sets up the BORs. |
